Congress Investigates, Planned Parenthood Spins
Wednesday, October 5, 2011 - By Johanna Dasteel

For years, American Life League has been calling for a defunding of Planned Parenthood and, at the very least, a Congressional investigation of the organization. Now, after years of evidence stacking up indicating that $1.3 billion in taxpayer money has disappeared from Planned Parenthood’s books and that the organization has been willing to aid and abet in such disturbing crimes as sex trafficking and statutory rape, Congress has finally opened an investigation.

According to lifesitenews.com, Rep. Cliff Stearns, chairmen of the House Oversight and Investigations Committee, sent a letter to Planned Parenthood on September 15, requesting, “any information related to improper billing related to federally-funded programs, proof that federal funds are not being improperly used to pay for abortions by PPFA or its affiliates.”

Last week, Planned Parenthood was in full spin mode via Twitter (@PPACT) asking, “Why can’t the GOP focus on jobs & families instead of politically motivated attacks against PP?” and “To some, issues like deportation and attacking PP are more urgent than #jobs. Is this unfunny joke week?” One would think PP would take $1.3 billion in taxpayer money more seriously, but apparently it’s a joke to this organization. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end for PP’s rampant corruption.
